The latest Pokemon GO Buddy Up event is live now through April 27 at 10 p.m. local time, and it introduces a chance to obtain a number of usually elusive Pokemon.
Pokemon GO Volbeat Locations
The biggest part of the Pokemon GO Buddy Up Event is Volbeat and Illumise being made available worldwide in the wild and in Eggs. You’ll find them anywhere, even close to your home, so it’s a perfect chance to nab a Pokemon you couldn’t get before.
If you don’t want to search for one, you can also obtain Volbeat through completing Field Research Tasks during the event. As is the case with these types of events, there’s even a chance you’ll run across a Shiny Volbeat (or Shiny Illumise).
Pokemon GO Buddy Up Event
The latest Buddy Up event introduces a number of other surprises and treats. The first is Woobat. For the first time ever, you’ll get the chance to encounter Woobat in the wild after completing associated Field Research Tasks. After the Buddy Up event ends, it’ll still appear in the wild and possibly in 2k Eggs.
These Pokemon will also be more common during the Buddy Up event:
Alolan Meowth Chansey Eevee (and you’ll want to evolve Eevee too) Feebas Lillipup Joltik
All these, except Chansey, will be more common in 5k Eggs during the event as well.
Finally, you can take part in a number of special Field Research Tasks specifically designed for the Buddy Up Event. You’ll get bonus Stardust for these tasks, plus the chance to encounter Alolan Meowth and Illumise, along with Volbeat and Woobat as we mentioned before.
Pokemon registered as Buddy Pokemon will bring you gifts more often. It’ll be easier to get your Buddy ‘mon excited, and the event halves the distance required for Buddy Candy. They’ll stick around you for longer, too, if you feed them Poffins and Berries.
Finally, you’ll get double XP for evolving any Pokemon, Buddy or otherwise.
That’s all you need to know about Pokemon GO Volbeat locations and the latest Pokemon GO Buddy Up event. The full event notes are over on the Pokemon GO Live site. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Pokemon GO guides and news.
