At last year’s Google I/O conference, the company officially unveiled Android Auto, the in-car system meant to compete with Apple’s CarPlay system (at least a little bit). Now, following the lineup’s debut at CES 2015 earlier this year, Pioneer has made available the second generation NEX head units. That includes the AVIC-8100NEX, the AVIC-7100NEX and AVH-4100NEX. All of these units support Android Auto out of the box, with the 4100NEX starting at $700. The AVIC-8100NEX goes up to $1,400. You’ll need the brand new Android Auto app, which is available in the Google Play Store, and an Android device running Android 5.0 or later. Do you plan on using Android Auto?
