At CES today, Pioneer announced a new accessory for the iPhone which is meant for your car. It boosts the GPS signal (perfect for navigation apps), has a speakerphone with mic, and charges your device. The accessory is also very safety conscious as it blocks your iPhone’s app features from working unless you are fully parked. The Pioneer SmartCradle’s pricing and availability will be announced at a later date and the press release is after the break....

An 18-year-old girl reportedly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend has been safely rescued by police after her mother tracked her location using Find My iPhone. CNBC reports that the victim was found more than 150 miles away from home. Police say that the victim was found bound and gagged in a car in a McDonald’s parking lot. They named the kidnapping suspect as 18-year-old Joseph Boller, whose bail has been set at $150,000....

PlayStation announced today that it is adding support for multi-view to its PS Vue app for Apple TV. This feature, previously exclusive to PlayStation 4, allows users to watch up to four live channels at once. While the PlayStation 4 has supported multi-view with PS Vue for a while now, the Apple TV’s implementation is actually slightly better. With the fourth-gen Apple TV, multi-view in PS Vue allows users to watch up to four live channels at once, compared to the three live channels supported on PlayStation 4....

Pocketdex is a popular app that works as a companion app for Pokémon GO players around the world. The iOS version of the app is getting a major update today that brings two new iOS 14 home screen widgets, including a Pokémon Calendar and another widget with Pokémon of the Day. If you’re not familiar with Pocketdex, it lets Pokémon GO players explore all the Pokémon available in the game with in-depth details about each of them such as attack, defense, and stamina levels....

Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale are the weirdest entries from Black Isle’s D&D phase, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth playing. There are some strange creatures and ideas in the more obscure Dungeons & Dragons pantheon, and the Planescape Torment & Icewind Dale Enhanced Editions recently released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One contain a majority of this obscure weirdness. Although both games were originally created in BioWare’s Infinity Engine, the same one used to power the Baldur’s Gate franchise, both Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment play very differently from each other, with regards not only to dialog and gameplay mechanics but also combat and general ambiance....
