One of the complaints about Apple’s new MFi game controllers has been the lack of an App Store section that lists games updated with support. Some of the manufacturers are maintaining lists of their own online, but it would be nice to be able to browse the App Store and easily find games that work with the controllers. That’s why I’m pleased about a new app called Phonejoy that offers a slick UI to browse around 100 iOS 7 games and counting that are compatible with the MFi game controllers....

Google has recently released the much-awaited Pixel 6 series that includes Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro officially & users are loving it so much. However, there are a couple of issues or bugs appearing to the users whatsoever that are basically ruining the flagship user experience up to some extent. The need for them resulted from Apple’s decision to switch to an all-aluminum casing. Pocket, the popular app that allows users to save articles and read them later, has received an update that adds another way to consume saved articles. Announced in a blog post, Pocket for iOS now supports Listen, the company’s popular text-to-speech feature that was previously available only on Android. Listen is a way for users to consume their news hands-free. The feature offers the ability to start listening from anywhere in the article, skip portions you aren’t interested in, and adjust the reading speed to be either faster or slower....

Pokémon GO continues to grow in popularity and revenue. New data from Sensor Tower shows that the Niantic game generated $894 million in gross player spending for 2019, an increase of 10% compared to 2018. Pokémon GO has had an interesting story since its release in 2016. After generating $832 million in player spending during its launch year, popularity seemingly dropped in 2017 with the game generating $589 million. The next year, Pokémon GO returned to growth with $816 million in player spending....

A petition calling on Snapchat to rollback its major redesign has now hit a million signatories, up from 600,000 in just a few days. A hoax tweet claiming that the company would abandon the design if retweeted 50,000 times has also attracted more than 1.5M retweets. Pioneer is expanding its lineup of aftermarket receivers with new options that feature Apple CarPlay. The new lineup even includes a single-DIN aftermarket receiver with a motorized 7-inch display which is often found on older cars. The new Pioneer aftermarket receivers range in screen size from 6.2-inches to 7-inches and all feature a resistive touch display (capacitive is preferred but typically more expensive). Pioneer also says it has updated the system look with a “redesigned, simple-to-use interface” which may address one of my main gripes about previous models....

The Pixelmator team today released the latest free update to its image editor for Mac, Pixelmator Pro. The new update includes an ML Crop feature which automatically suggests a refined framing based on the subject in the canvas.
